ABOUT TINA

I started skating at the age of 5. I was a single skater until 14 years old, at which point I joined the Laval Synchronized Skating team with my two sisters. Skating alone was not for me and skating with 15 other girls either did not feel right, so I found the perfect middle: Ice Dance. I started ice dancing with my former partner for 2 years in junior. The first year we skated for Canada and the second for Armenia internationally.

Then, Simon and I started skating together in 2015 at the senior level. We have been working hard to achieve our ultimate goal of qualifying Armenia a spot at the Olympics. We barely missed the cut-off in 2018 and an erroneous covid testing process prevented us from participating at the World Championships 2021, which was the first qualifying event for the 2022 Olympic Games. We were very disappointed and broken from the unfortunate event, but we are back and ready to compete at the second qualifying event this September 24-25 in Obersdorf, Germany. Follow us to stay up to date with the future of our career together.

I recently graduated from McGill University in Labour-Management and Human Resources. I received the Laddie-Millen Award, which is awarded to the top three students of the program for academic excellence and top grades, while skating full-time. On my off ice time, I enjoy working out, spending time with my loving and supportive family and going out to try new restaurants (dressing up haha). Finally, another one of my interests is makeup. I love creating new looks on myself and others.

ABOUT SIMON

I started skating when I was 7 years old just for fun, my older brother was playing hockey when he was young so I was always attracted to ice right from my childhood. When I was older I decided to go to a sport study program in high school and then focused on my ice dance career. I have competed for several years in ice dance for Canada.

In 2015, I started a partnership with Tina to represent Armenia on the international stage. We competed in the World Championships from 2016 to 2018. We got back together after a year apart to focus on our goal to qualify and compete at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

Besides skating, I enjoy spending time with my friends around a good dinner, playing boardgames and logic and fast thinking escape games. I’m a part-time student in multimedia, web designing and computer programing which I really like since it has both the artistic and technical aspect like Ice dancing. I also work part-time as a real estate project administrator for a company marketing new residential projects. I love traveling, sightseeing and also learning about different places and their history around the world.
