The Partnership

In 2022, Tina Garabedian and Simon Proulx-Sénécal carried Armenia's flag onto Olympic ice in Beijing — the country's first figure skaters at the Winter Games in sixteen years.

Paired in May 2015, the Montreal-based duo spent seven seasons building an ice-dance program for Armenia, training under Marie-France Dubreuil, Patrice Lauzon and Romain Haguenauer at the Ice Academy of Montreal — the same school behind many of the sport's Olympic and World medalists.

Along the way they collected Challenger Series titles, skated their way through European and World Championships, and secured Armenia's Olympic berth at the 2021 Nebelhorn Trophy — a run that ended, fittingly, under the rings in Beijing.
